Location

DMES will be held at Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado, Golden lies just north of I-70 and west from Denver at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. It is situated between Lookout Mountain and the two Table Mountains, within a sheltered valley fed by Clear Creek. Clear Creek flows through town from the west, out of its canyon shared by US 6. Golden can be easily reached by car, rideshare, or taxi from Denver International Airport (37 miles, ~50 min outside rush hour).

Parking

The Colorado School of Mines is a pay-to-park campus and parking policies are strictly enforced. Attendees are encouraged to park in the yellow and blue parking lots indicated in the Parking Map of Colorado School of Mines. Payment can be made at the nearest pay station. Display the receipt face up on the dashboard. A parking permit is required by attendees arriving before 5 pm on Friday September 13, 2024. Parking is free after 5 pm as well as on Saturday September 14, 2024.

Health and Safety

DMES will be held in person. Mask-wearing is not enforced at the summit. However, anyone who wishes to wear a mask to lower their risk of getting COVID-19 is encouraged to do so as COVID-19 is an infectious respiratory disease that can spread easily from person to person. Attendee Conduct

DMES is committed to providing a positive experience for all participants and expects attendees to show respect and courtesy toward one another at all official DMES events.

At all times during the summit, attendees shall conduct themselves in a professional and appropriate manner and comply with all applicable policies of Colorado School of Mines.

Incident Reporting

Harassment and code of conduct violations reduce the value of the DMES for everyone. We aim to provide a safe, inclusive environment at our event. If you witness of feel that you are the subject of unacceptable behavior or have any other safety concerns, please submit a report to the Office of Institutional Equity and Title IX of Colorado School of Mines.
